Wine

The Lucky Palace Restaurant specializing in Asian Cuisine with a serious commitment to wine is a decidedly unique thing unto itself. Wine is not integral to the history of Asian cuisines, as it is to the great cuisines of France or Italy and we work equally hard at exploring alternative and obscure varietals and regions as we do in securing highly allocated, coveted trophies. We are honored to be Chinese restaurant known not just for food but our wine program.

Our wine program has always been about open, thoughtful exploration of pleasure through the combination of wine and food. Our commitment to offering wines complementary to our Asian cuisine is evident in selection from Champagne, Austria, Germany, Loire Valley and Burgundy. The emphasis on the New World Bordeaux varietals and blends stems from a personal, esoteric affinity, which is also shared by our guests.

We believe in open-minded, sincere approach to wine education and exploration. Wine training for wait staff is informal, yet interactive and academic. Tasting are held weekly, even daily, with importers, wholesalers, wine makers, local collectors and other restaurateurs and sommeliers.

All inventory in stored in a temperature- controlled walk-in closet or in eurocave refrigerated wine storage units (55˚). We use Riedel Restaurant stemware for all still and sparkling wine. Since we are proud of ALL our selections, we feel EVERY bottle or glass of wine deserves a fine piece of stemware.

The Lucky Palace is renowned in our market for taking a progressive, friendly approach to wine, a reputation we are proud to maintain.
